Statewide Resources (via WVInfoDepot.org) - available to West Virginians statewide

World Book Online has gathered a Black History Month Collection on its eBooks platform. This list links directly to texts by Ida B. Wells, W.E.B. Du Bois, Booker T. Washington, Solomon Northup, and many more. It also includes original World Book titles covering various areas of Black American biography, history, and culture.  Teachers can find resources and ideas for Black History Month instruction on the World Book Teaching Topics page.

NoveList Plus can help readers find a broader selection of fiction and nonfiction centering African American people and culture. See this list of sample searches to help you drill down to the exact type of book you want, and find NoveList Plus on WVInfoDepot.org.

Learn more about the African American experience by downloading and discussing Digital Public Library of America (DPLA) Primary Source Sets featuring African Americans.
