History: The Sistersville Public Library traces its history to 1897, when a library of 50 volumes was established at the local high school. The library continued to grow and moved to new quarters in the Sistersville City Building in 1913. 28 years later, the library moved to its current site on Wells Street. The Sistersville Public Library serves nearly 4,000 residents in Tyler County.
