History: The Tygart Valley Community Library was organized in the early 1970s, starting in a one room location before moving to a mobile unit in 1977. 14 years later, the library relocated to a new site, and finally settled in its current building in 2000. The Russell Memorial Public Library serves 4,600 residents in Randolph County.
