History: After a strong fund raising drive by the Rainelle Women’s Club, the Rainelle Public Library opened its doors in the spring of 1974. However, the library soon outgrew its original building and by 1985 a second structure was added, doubling the size of the facility. In 1998, another addition was built to provide a meeting, training, and activities room for the community. The Rainelle Public Library now serves 6,700 residents in Greenbrier County.
