History: Greenbrier County’s original library opened in 1942 in an historic building that once housed the Virginia Supreme Court Library in the 1830s. This building served as the library’s home for the next 66 years, until the move to the current facility in 2007. The library serves more than 7,900 residents in Lewisburg and surrounding areas.
