History: The Capon Bridge Public Library was founded in 1969 on the heels of a county wide book drive. An old building in town, known as the East End Tavern, served as the library’s home for over 20 years, before books, records and collections were moved to the current facility in 1995. The library now serves over 4,300 residents in Hampshire County.
