Day by Day Family Literacy Calendar

Families, caregivers, educators, and librarians can use the Day By Day Family Literacy Calendar at home, library, classroom, or on the go. West Virginia Library Association

The West Virginia Library Association (WVLA) was established in 1914 to promote library service and librarianship in West Virginia.  Through the work of its Divisions, Roundtables, andCommittees, WVLA advocates for library issues, distributes public information, and develops continuing education opportunities. 

American Library Association

The American Library Association (ALA) is the oldest and largest library association in the world.  Founded on October 6, 1876 during the Centennial Exposition in Philadelphia, the mission of ALA is “to provide leadership for the development, promotion and improvement of library and information services and the profession of librarianship in order to enhance learning and ensure access to information for all.” 

Institute of Museum and Library Services

West Virginia Encyclopedia

West Virginia Archives and History

Whether studying for the Golden Horseshoe exam, researching your family lineage, or looking for information on the history of West Virginia, the Archives and History website is the premier on-line resource. The site features primary and secondary source documents, photographs, and databases; lists collections and other materials available in the State Archives; and provides research guides and assistance for genealogists.​​​​

West Virginia Law Library

The West Virginia State Law Library​’s primary mission is to assist the Supreme Court of Appeals of West Virginia, the statewide unified court system, and all judicial staff in carrying out the administration of justice. The State Law Library provides access to law-related information to the judiciary, legal community and the public.​​​
