U.S. Census Asks for Library Assistance

The U.S. Census already has begun operations for the 2020 Census count and is seeking applicants now. These part-time jobs pay $13.50 to $15 an hour throughout WV, plus 58 cents per mile. Applicants must be 18 to be hired, but can apply when they are 17. There is no upper age limit.

As of this Census, applications must be made online, so access to public computers at public libraries is very important. Applicants don’t have to own technology — workers will be given devices to use — but they will need to have e-mail addresses. Libraries are asked to post this flyer in high traffic areas.
